Petra was built in the middle of the desert by the Nabateans, who lived in Petra about 312 B.C.  Petra is famous for its sandstone carvings, by which the largest is the Treasury.  Walk through this amazing crack in the mountains called the Siq., to arrive at the Treasury.  There are over eight hundred structures to see including a Roman theater that could seat over 4000  people, tombs, bath houses, facades, temples, and much more.
 

Does not leave on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Day 1:

06:40 AM - Flight from Tel Aviv Sde Dov Airport to Eilat Airport. 
08:15 AM - Pick up from the Eilat Airport, and transfer to the Arava border.
11:30 AM - Arrive at Petra's historical site.  Start the tour in Petra.
03:30 PM - Lunch at a local authentic restaurant.
04:30 PM - Pickup from site and transfer to your hotel in Petra.
05:00 PM - Free evening.  With your free evening you can do "Petra by night" walk, it has an entrance fee of $25 (not included).

Day 2:

08:00 AM - Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 AM - Free time to explore Petra and the authentic market. 
04:30 PM - Pick-up from Petra hotel and drive to Wadi Rum for observation and pictures.
06:30 PM - Ariving in Aqaba for a short panoramic tour of the city.
07:00 PM - Drive to the border and the passport control.
20:55 PM - Flight back to Tel Aviv. 

Tour ends at Tel Aviv Sde Dov Airport.
