Take a luxury tour in Israel for 11 days, with limousine pick up from the airport upon arrival. Tour Israel with a private driver and guide, continue on to Jordan, to tour the famous site of Petra.
Day 1: Arrival in Israel
Arriving in Israel at the Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv, you will be met and assisted by a driver, and taken in a limousine to your hotel in Tel Aviv. Overnight in Tel Aviv.
Day 2: Tel Aviv
Start the touring day at 08:30 from your hotel. Tour the Diaspora Museum, with its many artifacts and history of Israel. Drive to Old Jaffa, the ruins, the artists quarter, and Neve Tzedeck. There will be a chance to do some shopping if you like. Overnight in Tel Aviv
Day 3: Galilee and Golan
Drive north along the coastal road. On the route we stop for an overlook of Megiddo. Drive through the Jordan Valley, stop at the Baptismal site on the Jordan River. Ascend to the Golan Heights with an overview from Hammat Gader of the triangular border with Syria, Jordan and Israel. Onwards to the city of Katzrin, the Talmudic capital of the Golan. Visit the ancient synagogue of Katzrin. Ascend Mt. Bental, overlooking the Kuneitra Valley and stop at a former Syrian fortification.
Day 4: Caesarea and Haifa
Drive along the Mediterranean, to Caesarea. Explore the excavations with your guide, and view the well preserved rooms, a moat, and the gateways. There is a beautiful Roman amphitheater that is very well preserved, and still used today for major events, and concerts. See the remains of a hippodrome, and a Roman temple.
Continue North through Haifa and tour the Bahai' shrine and the famous gardens. There are 19 terraces that make up the garden. Drive on to Rosh Hanikra and descend in a cable car to the grottoes.
Driving back we will see Acre, a huge Crusader city. It is very well preserved, and it is hard to believe that it has survived throughout the years. Tour the Turkish prison that was used under the Turkish rule, and also by the British to hang the Jews, so that it would limit the immigration after World War 2. Overnight in Tel Aviv.
Day 5: Nazareth
Drive past Netanya and Hertzeliya, traveling north and drive through the Armageddon plain. There will be a view of Megiddo, and we will stop at the Mount of Precipitation. When arriving in Nazareth the first stop will be the Church of Annunciation. This church was built on the place that the angel Gabriel appeared before Mary. Next to this is the church of St. Joseph. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 6: Jerusalem
After breakfast tour Jerusalem. Drive for a view of the Old City on the top of Mount Scopus. Enter the Old City, and walk through the Jewish Quarter to the Western Wall. Follow the Via Dolorosa, and the Stations of the Cross to arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Tour the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 7: Jericho and Bethlehem
Drive through the desert to Jericho, the oldest city in the world. See Mt. Temptation and the tree that Zachaeus climbed. Tour the excavations and the synagogue. Drive to Bethlehem and walk across Manger Square to arrive at the Church of Nativity, and the Church of St. Catherine. Overnight Jerusalem..
Day 8: Dead Sea and Masada
Travel South to the Dead Sea, and arrive at Masada. Take a cable car to the top. Tour the synagogue, palaces, bath house, Roman barracks, and more. Drive to the Dead Sea and enjoy a swim and a mud bath. On the way back stop at the Qumran caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Drive to Eilat for overnight.
Day 9: Petra
A driver will pick you up in the morning from your hotel and drive you to the Arava border, and help you with the border proceedings. Start the drive to Petra, with a short stop at Wadi Rum on the way. Tour Petra to see the famous Treasury, more facades, the Roman theater, the temples, and more. In the evening tour Petra by night. Overnight in Petra.
Day 10 : Petra
This is a free day to go back and tour Petra at your leisure. In the afternoon we will take you back to the border for overnight in Eilat.
Day 11: Tel Aviv
In the morning you will take a flight from Eilat to Ben Gurion and your flight home.
